DALLAS -- The Dallas Cowboys have had two of the hottest coordinators in the NFL this season, prompting the Jacksonville Jaguars to request permission to interview both Kellen Moore and defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.
However, on Wednesday, Quinn decided to pull himself from the running for the position, per a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Under Quinn, Dallas has seen a major resurgence in 2021, scoring six defensive touchdowns, forcing a league high 33 turnovers (25 interceptions), and sitting seventh in the league in points against at just 20.5 points per game.
Dallas also has 31 sacks on the season, including 13 from rookie Micah Parsons.
Quinn spent almost six seasons (he was fired five games into his 2020 run) in Atlanta as the head coach of the Falcons. He led the team to the Super Bowl in 2016, but only two seasons were winning campaign during his time with the Falcons.
The Jaguars have also requested permission to speak with other top assistants across the league including Tampa Bay's Byron Leftwich and Todd Bowles.
