De'Andre Hunter's progress key to Hawks-76ers series

The Atlanta Hawks closed out the New York Knicks, 103-82, on Wednesday night to advance to the second-round of the NBA playoffs. Next up, The Philadelphia 76ers.

The biggest question heading into the series, at least if you're the 76ers, is if Joel Embiid will play. Embiid has a small meniscus tear in his right knee and was out in Game 5 of their close-out series against the Washington Wizards.

How do the Hawks stack up with or without Embiid in the lineup?

Mike Conti of the Hawks Radio Network joined the Midday Show to talk about which player he thinks could surprise in their series against Philly.

"I think the balance that Hunter is helping to give the Hawks in terms of scoring production is really critical," Conti told Andy and Randy.

"Trae (Young) doesn't need to have 36 (points)--or at least not against the New York Knicks. Trae did not need to have 36 in order for you to win the series relatively comfortably. If Hunter becomes that secondary scoring option, if Bogdanovic just doesn't have it going like last night, that's going to make the Hawks very, very frustrating if you're the 76ers."
