Atlanta United analyst Jason Longshore joined Dukes & Bell and talked about the Andrew Gutman goal that won the game on Saturday afternoon for the United and could it turn the team’s season around?
When asked if this win could turn the team’s season around?
“It can, it’s one of those that can give you a real spring board when you have a moment like this,” Longshore said. “It was a game that was a really tough one, a real tough back and forth one. I feel like the injury to Rossetto in the first half affected that midfield trio, gave Seattle more control of the game that you wanted, that’s why they had the possession advantage, give up the tying goal and this team just kept going.”
Longshore talked about Gutman being the least likely hero of the match.
“At the end it’s just really throwing things at the wall and to see what you can find, and the least likely guy, Andrew Gutman get the best opportunity and steps up to the plate in a big way.”
