The Panthers trading for Jets quarterback Sam Darnold could affect the Falcons as the Jets hold the number two overall pick and will seemingly be locked into a quarterback at that spot. Could this directly affect the Falcons draft plans at four?
Carl talked about the how Panthers trade affects the Falcons.
“For us people were saying that Carolina wouldn’t have done a deal with us cause they within our division or we wouldn’t have done a deal with Carolina, I just think it’s about what you’re willing to give up, business is business.” Dukes said “If I feel good about where my team is headed I can’t worry about what the Saints are doing or what the Bucs are doing. Just because you go draft a dynamic wide receiver now do I go draft a corner? I can’t react that way when I know what I’m trying to make my team up.”
“Memo to the Falcons, give us the best player available and I think everybody is going to be happy, we may not be satisfied, please don’t tell us this is the best you can do. That is where Carolina is now, trying to convince their fan base that Sam Darnold is the best quarterback they could get this offseason.”
