The Atlanta Falcons are roughly 10 days away from their regular season opener, however have yet to name their starter for Week 1 when they travel to face the Pittsburg Steelers and on Wednesday, Falcons general manager, Ian Cunningham, stated the team is still in the midst of making the decision once they are ready to do so.
“By procrastinating with this decision, it makes you wonder what the plan is,” 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes said as he explained to cohost, Mike Bell, why he believes the Falcons approach to their quarterback situation may be favoring Michael Penix Jr. being named the starter.
“I think it’s simple, the plan is ‘we’re going to give him as much time we need to see what we need to see, whatever that is, and then we’ll make the decision’”, Dukes said of what he believes in regards to the Falcons likely wanting to name Penix Jr. their starting quarterback.Time on Michael Penix Jr.'s side in Falcons QB battle
