As students prepare to return to in-person learning Monday, APS Superintendent Dr. Lisa Herring says the possibility remains that some may have to return to virtual learning.
Dr. Herring tells Audacy Atlanta's Maria Boynton "we will continue to identify positivity rate data and community spread data to determine if any individual school needs to pivot to virtual."
According to Herring, “Our strength is that we have been here before. Our longstanding practices and procedures put us in the position of being prepared versus reactive."
APS employees are tested twice a week. Parents need to sign consent forms to allow their student to also be tested two times a week. The testing consent forms can be accessed on the district's website.
