Falcons 3rd Down failures real reason why they’re 4-8

There are many reasons as to why the Atlanta Falcons are 4-8 this season, but earlier today The Morning Shift gave you what they think is the number one reason why this team has underachieved this year.

“For this team that’s the biggest key to winning and losing in my opinion. We can talk about the sack numbers, we can talk about everything up and down the board. The third downs are just crushing you on both sides of the ball this year.” Mike Johnson said

The Falcons are currently converting only 33.10% of their third downs and allowing teams to convert 38.96 of their third downs. If your offense can’t convert third downs to stay on the field and your defense can’t get off the field on third down that’s hard a recipe to win with, and it shows by Atlanta’s 4-8 record.
