The Falcons host the Patriots tonight to open up Week 11 in the NFL and through all the analysis leading up to the game, it's been tough to find some advantages for the Falcons entering the matchup.
The Patriots certainly have a better defense than the Falcons, and considering the injuries the Falcons are dealing with currently, it's pretty easy to say the Patriots have an offensive edge as well.
The biggest advantage for the Falcons seems to actually be the fact that this game is being played on Thursday Night Football, where weird things tend to happen.
Just last week there was a massive upset on Thursday night as the Dolphins destroyed the Ravens, and that wasn't the first instance of a shock result on short rest.
Since Thursday night games became a regularity in the NFL they have routinely provided the poorest quality of game and the most common examples of surprise results and the Falcons are hoping to add to that tonight.
