The Atlanta Falcons continued adding to their coaching staff this past week and some of those additions included Jon Hoke, defensive back coach, Desmond Kitchings, running backs coach, TJ Yates, passing-game specialist and assistant defensive backs coach, Nick Perry. As the new staff continues to see additions, some of those already in place have begun to meet with the media.
Defensive Coordinator Dean Pees talked about what opposing offenses can expect from the Falcons’ defense with him at the helm.
“One of the things that our defense will know is that, if you’re on our defense, every position will blitz,” Pees told media. “Not just the safeties, not just the linebackers, it’s corners, it’s everybody.”
The new Falcons DC went on to reference his time in Tennessee a couple of seasons ago and pointed out that his message to offenses he faced was that “we’re coming from everywhere.”
Pees has been known for defensive schemes that have confused quarterbacks week after week, and players and coaches from all across the league have given him praise for what he’s been able to do with his defenses.
“We’ll do whatever we have to do pressure wise or four-man rush wise or whatever we have to do to put pressure on the quarterback,” Pees said.
