Brian Baldinger: Falcons 'look like they can move the ball with the best of them'

On Wednesday Andy & Randy were joined by Audacy NFL Insider Brian Baldinger who talked about the Atlanta Falcons offense so far this season and how Cordarrelle Patterson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts have looked through the first three weeks of the season.

“If the ball doesn’t go to Cordarrelle Patterson, Kyle Pitts, and Drake London over and over again then heads should roll because those three guys are stars," Baldinger said when asked what has stood out about the Falcons offense through the first three weeks of the season. "I can see it, just the way teams try to defend them. Their ability to go up and get a ball, what they do after the catch and sure enough last week it was just basically Cordarrelle, Kyle, Drake and repeat.

“They (Falcons) got great production from all three guys. They put up 27 points. They won the game in a tough place and they look like they can move the ball with the best of them right now,” Baldinger added about the trio of stars the Falcons have on offense.

In the audio clip above Baldinger explained how the Falcons offensive line moving the pocket for quarterback Marcus Mariota has helped this offense move the ball well so far this season.

Patterson, who is the second leading rusher in the NFL behind only Nick Chubb and reigning NFC Offensive player of the week, raved about the Falcons offensive line to Falcons Radio Network Analyst Dave Archer saying the following after the win over the Seahawks this past Sunday: “The offensive line looks so friggin’ good this year. It’s unbelievable how much work they’ve put in. I couldn’t do it without those guys. Them guys will never know how much I truly appreciate those guys. I really appreciate those guys, they work their asses off each and every day.”

The Falcons will look to build off their first win of the year as they host the Cleveland Browns this Sunday at 1pm on 92.9 The Game. Pregame coverage begins at 11am with Chris Goforth and Harper LeBel.

You can hear Andy & Randy Monday-Friday from 11a-2p on 92.9 The Game.
