With one week of the NFL free agency period in the books, the Atlanta Falcons have bought in several players, including Tua Tagovailoa, who they officially announced being signed on Friday, and general manager, Ian Cunningham, stating the former Miami Dolphins' quarterback would compete with Michael Penix Jr. for the starting role.

On Monday, 92-9 The Game's Carl Dukes and Mike Bell, shared thoughts on the free agent signings made by the Falcons and discussed why they believe that outside of Tagovailoa, the players signed are incomplete "upgrades" however believe Cunningham is taking the right approach to add "bodies and depth" while their quarterback questions eventually get answered.

"If we had an established quarterback, the approach might be, as a mater of fact Mike, would be different," Dukes said as he explained why he believes the Falcons approach to free agency in Cunningham's first season as their general manager is a logical one as they will allow the Tagovailoa and Penix Jr. to battle it out for the starting quarterback position.
