Atlanta Falcons radio analyst Dave Archer joined Dukes & Bell for his weekly appearance. Arch talked about the breaking news that the Falcons have put Dante Fowler on the IR and what that might mean for Sunday.

Archer talked about how Fowler’s absence will affect the pass rush.

“It mean’s you’re thinner obviously at the defensive end or linebacker position whatever you want to call those guys. It’s not like you’re taking off a ton of numbers off of the field, he’s got a couple of sacks,” Archer said. “But he has been a lot more presence in the backfield, he has been a little bit more bothersome if you will in the backfield but this just means that Dean Pees’ is going to have come up with more ways to get after the passer.”

“Jacob Tuioti-Mariner has been solid, Steven Means been ok, Ogundeji maybe Ogundeji the youngster from Notre Dame continues to get better and better, he’ll get some opportunities. I would imagine Brandon Copeland will slide outside and play a little bit on the edge as well so it’s gonna be all hands on deck to fill the gap for one player.”
