It's been an absolutely wild past ten days for Falcons fans going from franchise WR Calvin Ridley being suspended for the season to the Falcons sneaking in to the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes as a late favorite.
If the team were to acquire the 26-year old former Falcons ball-boy from Gainesville, they would certainly be forced to move current Falcons QB Matt Ryan.

But what happens if they don't trade for Watson? Can we really pretend that Ryan has the same relationship with this organization that he had before?
Chris Mortensen reported that the Falcons have been keeping Matt Ryan in the loop this entire time, however, Matt Ryan's sister-in-law shared a different side of the story.
If the Falcons are willing to trade Matt Ryan after they get Deshaun Watson, they should be equally willing to move him if they don't.
Matt Ryan has been a consummate professional during his time in Atlanta and while he likely wouldn't show the effects this Watson flirtation has had on him publicly, it certainly would affect him privately, and he's been too good to this organization to be asked to deal with sticking around after seeing the team openly and immediately trying to move on from him.
The Falcons should do Matt Ryan favor and trade him to a contender and let him ride out the remainder of his career in search of a Super Bowl.
There seems to be a handful of teams that would have interest in Ryan, including the Colts, Browns, and 49ers that might give Ryan another run at a title, one that certainly won't be coming i the next few years with the Falcons.
