The Atlanta Hawks are no strangers to rumors often circulating in regards to them potentially trading guard, Trae Young and on Monday, 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell shared thoughts on the most recent reports of Atlanta possibly looking to move on from their All-Star guard.
“Now, this feels a little bit more real,” Dukes said as he explained why the recent reports of the Hawks potentially shopping Young appear to have more validity now than in years past and how the team has performed of late since Young’s return to the line up after missing 22 games due to an MCL sprain in his right knee.
“At the end of the day, this team has lost six straight games and they all have come since Trae Young has returned,” Dukes noted as he expressed his concern with the Hawks falling to 15-18 since Young’s return heading into their matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday.
“I just don’t know what the sample size has to be. Do we have to lose 12 in a row before we say, ‘okay, Trae might be the problem,’” Bell said as he agreed with Dukes in regards to talks of Young being traded possible gaining real momentum.
