On Friday Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael reacted to a fun quote from new Atlanta Falcons Defensive Coordinator Dean Pees introductory press conference.
Pees who came out of retirement to join Arthur Smith’s staff said, “Every position will blitz…I want the offense to know we’re coming from everywhere.”
“It’s going to be a fun defense to play in. If you are a Deion Jones, guys like that, you are going to love it because it’s going to let you be in attack mode the whole time. Dean Pees’ defenses do not sick back on their heels. It could be a situation where they might give up some big plays but he is not going to sit back on his heels and allow, and you say it all the time Andy, he is not going to allow teams to dictate to him what he needs to do, he is going to dictate to them and that’s going to be a fun situation if you are a defensive player in this scheme,” Randy said in reaction to Dean Pees comments.
Both Andy and Randy went on to talk about more elements of a Dean Pees’ defenses and Randy’s preferences when he went up against various defensive schemes.
