One major concern for the Atlanta Falcons fanbase since the hiring of new defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich is that he and head coach Raheem Morris have a very strong bond. That bond has been questioned as a "comfort hire" of sorts instead of going with a coach with no ties to himself or the organization as a whole. Ulbrich addressed that during his opening press conference Monday by saying the interview was anything but them 'chopping it up like buddies'.

Ulbrich praised the line of questioning and thorough detail during the interview process. He also assured their close ties will be a strength and not a weakness in that he can be a truthful confidant to Morris when things need tweaking.

It remains to be seen if the duo along with the rest of the staff will be benefitted by their shared ideologies or if that could become a hinderance as the season goes along. Ulrbich, however, remained steadfast
