Much was made about Kirk Cousins attendance at Atlanta Falcons Mandatory Minicamp, despite his appearance being expected, and Raheem Morris, Michael Penix, and Kirk Cousins all fielded questions about whether being there would be a distraction, but Andy and Randy both feel that the plan at QB prevents that from being an issue.
"They told us who the guy is, there's no controversy. The Falcons as an organization have handled this well," says Andy Bunker. "It's not a distraction until it becomes one, and it doesn't have to become one. He (Kirk) is not going to do anything to throw any fuel on the fire. If Michael Penix plays good, we're not going to talk about Kirk Cousins."
The Falcons are entering the season with no questions about who is QB1. There is no QB competition in training camp, the job is Michael Penix's and being that clear on the situation will help prevent any discussion that could turn in to distraction.
