Hawks GM Landry Fields: Improving is not simply about adding players

The Atlanta Hawks have reached the quarter point of the season. And while they do have a winning record (11-10), things certainly don't seem to be going as well as the organization had hoped.

Amidst a three-game losing streak, Hawks general manager Landry Fields joined John and Hugh and discussed ways to improve the team right now, and not just by adding players.

"You always have to have a pulse on where you can continue to grow, and sometimes the opportunity is not about trading players, sometimes it's about within and repositioning and what we need to change from a system standpoint," says Fields. "A lot of time opportunity is about more support. You try to do your best with the goal and objective but you want to win championships, and in order for us to do that you always look at certain opportunities."

The Hawks have a chance to right the ship and snap the losing streak Wednesday when they face the Orlando Magic.
