An Atlanta psychotherapist calls Naomi Osaka “a great example of ending the stigma around mental health and doing what’s necessary to care for ourselves.”

Osaka, the top-earning female athlete, is stepping away from the French Open, explaining she's been battling depression and anxiety for years.

According to mental health expert Dr. Sharnell Myles, parents have to be 'unafraid' about talking with their children about mental health.

I recently spoke with Dr. Sharnell Myles about the signs of depression and what can be done to help those affected by it

Myles, with Embark Behavorial Health, says Osaka's revelation will give strength to so many young women, especially young women of color, to say 'I need help', and to prioritize their well-being.
