Senator Jon Ossoff has introduced what he calls "a direct response to this wave of voter suppression legislation that we're seeing across the country, and of course in Georgia which targets black voters."

The legislation is called the Right to Vote Act, which the Democrat from Georgia says would establish the first-ever federal guarantee of the right to vote.

In an interview with Audacy Atlanta's Maria Boynton, Ossoff says the Act would allow citizens to sue when they feel their right to vote is diminished.

Ossoff also discussed his Equal Pay for Equal Work Enforcement Act, which he says would strengthen enforcement of laws that prohibit pay discrimination on the basis of gender and race.
