The Atlanta Hawks may not win a title in the 2024-2025 season but the fanbase should be very excited for the future. The team is stocked with young talent but two players have really stood out this season in rookie Zaccharie Risacher and newly-acquired Dyson Daniels. Risacher is up for Rookie of the Year honors and Daniels is a top contender for Defensive Player of the Year.
The team will be bolstered next season when star forward Jalen Johnson returns from a season-ending shoulder injury. The core led by Trae Young and Johnson should be one of the most exciting squads in the league next season when at full strength.
Risacher is coming off a career 36-point night vs Milwaukee and Daniels eclipsed the Hawks' single-season steals record. The duo have changed the fate and fortunes of a formerly middling franchise the last few seasons.
