With the NFL draft just one day away, Carl Dukes decided to finally reveal on Dukes & Bell who he thinks the team should take with the fourth-overall pick on Thursday night and why he thinks the team should go that route.

Dukes thinks that the why is the most important thing when the team picks.

“You have to ask yourself, what’s the why, why are you doing what you’re doing? For the Falcons it’s not about whether or not you have talent, it’s not about the coaching staff, it’s not about any of the things we’ve talked about that are going to make our team better. But why are you doing what you’re doing,” Dukes said. “If you’re drafting a quarterback, why are you doing it, and if you’re not drafting a quarterback why are you doing it.

“The why to me is real simple, there has been a commitment made to Matt Ryan as soon as they restructured his deal and extended him in essence. When you made that commitment the why becomes very easy, how do we get better right now and win now but also win later. When you talk about how you make our team better right now you go with the most dynamic player in this draft and the most athletic player we’ve seen arguably in a decade, and that’s Kyle Pitts.”
