One month ago (Jan. 4) Atlanta Hawks GM Travis Schlenk joined John and Hugh in the midst of losing four out of five games and put the team on notice, eventually trading away Cam Reddish.
The team continued to lose, suffering a five-game losing streak before turning things around recently with a seven-game win streak. The Hawks now sit as the No. 10 seed in the Eastern Conference, good enough for a play-in opportunity.
With 32 games remaining on the season, Schlenk joined John and Hugh once more and discussed the recent run of success and how he's re-imagining expectations once again.
"When we've had our full roster we've been a pretty good team. We had a stretch in December where we didn't have that," says Schlenk. "We put ourselves in this hole and dug most of the way out of it. But we still have work to do. It's going to be difficult to get into the top six, but it's not impossible."
