Pass rush specialist Chuck Smith joined Dukes & Bell for his Friday appearance on the show and talked about why Arnold Ebiketie has been the Falcons second best pass rusher and one of the best rookie pass rushers in the league.
Smith talked about liking Ebiketie this weekend against the Bengals offensive line.
“I’m really excited about Arnold Ebiketie, I don’t need him rotating anymore, the time has come, I’m not sure how the substitution works, he’s a starter,” Smith said. “He’s our second best rusher and no one else is even close, but I think I like that matchup with Arnold Ebiketie on any of these guys.”
Chuck told the guys why Ebiketie needs to play as much as possible.
“Is he right now Von Miller? No, but he’s gotta play to become that guy one day but when I watch him he’s winning, he’s using moves, he’s bending, he’s suddenly coming off the line of scrimmage. I would like for the veteran Lorenzo Carter, you might wanna look at the rookie, he’s playing with his hair on fire, he’s getting off on the ball, he’s twitching. Let’s be real, the young boy is the best one there.”
