Earlier today The Morning Shift was talking about the Atlanta Falcons quarterback competition between Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa and explained why they think Penix Jr. winning the Falcons starting quarterback job is what’s best for the Falcons long term future.
“He’s supposed to be the franchise quarterback. You spent an eighth overall pick. I would love to see it play out and not look back on this in five years, possibly see him somewhere else being successful and be like did we not give him enough time or did we rush him because of where we thought this team was supposed to be, and that’s a real thing for me.” Beau Morgan said
The Falcons former eighth overall pick winning the QB battle between him and Tua would make some of the Falcons upcoming big decisions easier for the team moving forward, but time will tell very soon if Penix Jr. is Atlanta’s next franchise quarterback or not.
