Over the weekend, Slipknot singer Corey Taylor dropped by West Virginia’s Huntington Comic and Toy Convention and got a chance to complete his SpongeBob Squarepants circle when voice actor Tom Kenny took the stage with him.

When he’s not terrorizing festival and arena crowds with his Slipknot or Stone Sour crews, singer Corey Taylor’s CMFT solo project takes center stage, and as fans can attest, over the years he’s delighted concertgoers with a cover of the beloved SpongeBob Squarepants TV theme song during his live sets.

After being introduced to the outdoor stage by the voice of SpongeBob himself, Tom Kenny, on Saturday at the West Virginia convention, Taylor told the crowd that the career milestone was “the most nervous [he’s] ever been.” The duo then traded verses while the perfect crowd for these sorts of antics happily chanted along.
