Patriots unveil new ‘Nor’easter’ rivalry uniform

The New England Patriots will have a completely new look for one game later this season. On Thursday, the team unveiled its “Nor’easter” uniform that it will wear for its Week 11 Thursday night home game against the New York Jets as part of the NFL’s “Rivalries” program.

The jersey and socks are a “Storm Blue” color that the team says “reflects both the unforgiving power of nor'easters and the perseverance of the people who face them head-on.”

Other features include six stars on the uniform to represent the six New England states (that could also be the Patriots’ six Super Bowls, although the team does not specify that), a new “NE” shoulder patch “inspired by nautical lettering and compass points,” and a matte white helmet that “reminds us of snow.” You can read the organization’s full breakdown of the uniform here.

The Nor’easter jerseys will be available in the Gillette Stadium ProShop and online beginning Sept. 10.
