The rapper, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, was arrested late Thursday afternoon on federal drug charges, the source said.

The Paterson, New Jersey–born rapper was at the Queens ballpark for the Rolling Loud concert tour.

Maxwell, 30, was set to be arraigned Friday morning in Central Islip federal court, the source said, adding that the indictment is still sealed.

Maxwell was previously arrested in 2019 and accused of hitting a security guard during a scuffle at a valet area of the Mirage resort on the Las Vegas strip. A judge agreed to dismiss misdemeanor battery charges last year if the rapper stayed out of trouble.

In 2018, the rapper was fined and ordered to attend safe driving programs after pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated and reckless endangerment in Brooklyn. Police said he was caught drag racing on the Gowanus Expressway in November 2017.
