City of Stockbridge Kicks Off Women's History Month

The City of Stockbridge kicked off Women's History Month with their 5th Annual Women's History Month Awards. The event was held at the Merle Manders Conference Center in Stockbridge and was hosted by Councilman Elton Alexander and the Women's Committee of the City of Stockbridge. More than 200 people attended the yearly event, which featured keynote speaker News and Talk 1380 WAOK Brand Manager and Stockbridge resident, Mrs. Joyce Littel.

During the event, twenty-one women who have made a significant impact throughout the state of Georgia were honored and presented with awards. Included among the honorees was Entercom Radio Morning Traffic Reporter Stephanie Stallworth. Stallworth is a seasoned media professional with over twenty years of experience. Dr. Amanda Phillips of Eagles Landing OBGYN and Bishop Eusebio Phelps of New Faith Christian Church were both also honored, for stepping up and voluntarily paying off the overdue lunch debt at Stockbridge Elementary School.
