Fulton Chief Magistrate Judge Holds Radio Town Hall For Tenants & Landlords

Chief Magistrate Judge of Fulton County, Cassandra Kirk, teamed up with local nonprofits to host a radio town hall on The Rashad Richey Morning Show geared towards informing tenants and landlords of programs available during the COVID-19 crisis.
 
Members of the town hall meeting included CEO and President of Urban League of Greater Atlanta - Nancy Flake Johnson, City of Atlanta Project Manager - Bithia Ratnasamy, Senior Vice President of Homelessness at United Way of Greater Atlanta - Protip Biswas, Managing Attorney for Housing Court Assistance Center - Viraj Parmer, Fulton County Marshal - Maria McKee, President and CEO of Hosea Helps INC - Mrs. Elisabeth Omilami, Metro-Atlanta Ministerial Alliance - Pastor Eric Thomas and Executive Director of StarC - Audrea Rease.
 
The panel highlighted programs and money available for tenants and landlords faced with the adverse affect of Covid-19. In addition to emergency rental and mortgage funding, resources included free legal advice, food services and emergency utility dollars.
