Ashley Brooks, the sister of the deceased Rayshard Brooks who was recently shot in the back by an Atlanta police officer came on The Rashad Richey Morning Show to discuss her brother's death, the current movement for police reform and her direct experience with APD.
Ashley Brooks said her brother was a loving family man, and cared deeply for his family.
Ironically, Ms. Brooks went to the scene of the incident and was unaware her brother, Rayshard Brooks was the man in question. According to Ms. Brooks, the Atlanta police informed the crowd that Mr. Brooks was ok and at the hospital being treated. Statements later proven to be false.
She found the video of his death disturbing, but encourages everyone to continue to record and hold police accountable with video evidence.
