The On Point with Juandolyn Stokes staff- Juandolyn Stokes, Ms. Eclectic, and Angela Greene stopped by for the Grand Re-Opening and 30th Anniversary Celebration of the "Mr. Everything Cafe" restaurant at 882 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Vine City near the Atlanta University Center (AUC).

The restaurant is handsomely decorated in a red, black, and white color scheme with the school names the AUC and other area institutions highlighted on the wall.

The contemporary décor is inviting and is sure to be a hotspot for college students and other members of the community.

Monica Smith, who co-owns the restaurant with her husband, William Jayson Smith, says they first opened in 1993 with just two hot plates.

"We had our good days and bad days, but we had to keep moving forward," said Monica Smith.

There is a unique Atlanta Journal Constitution feature story from those early days that has been made into wallpaper near the staircase.

Upstairs features a bar, DJ booth, additional seating, and restrooms.

Stokes, Eclectic, and Greene indulged in celebration cupcakes and chased the cupcakes with the famous Healthy Choice Rice dishes.

"Our next goal is to get into the airport [Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport]."

Monica Smith says they are creating a legacy for their eight children and 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Everything Cafe is open every day.
