On Monday, OPWJS welcomed Georgia native and actress Thedra Porter who co-starred in the Netflix movie, Fatherhood with comedian and actor, Kevin Hart. The movie was released this past weekend just in time for Father's Day.
Porter said her career in acting began as a child growing up in Columbus where she participated in plays, dance, and theatre in school and also as a college student at Florida A&M building her career. "I was always interested in the arts," said Porter.
Later said worked in the corporate sector by day and worked in the theatre scene by night. She worked on a couple of shows early in her career including, In the Heat of the Night and Law & Order. Porter welcomed the opportunity to work with Hart in this movie, which was shot in 2020 in Canada.
