Police Says Spa Shooting Not Racially Motivated Suspect May Have Had ‘Sexual Addiction’

Atlanta Police says the suspect in the shootings at massage parlors that killed eight people was likely a customer in the past.

During a press conference Wednesday morning, Cherokee County Sheriff Frank Reynolds indicated suspect 21-year-old Robert Aaron Long suffers from a sexual addiction and viewed the spas as a temptation that we wanted to eliminate.

Police also added that Long wanted to target the pornography industry Long did take responsibility for the shootings and claims it has nothing to do with race or politics.

Suspect Robert Aaron Long, 21, was arrested after a series of shootings at three Atlanta-area spas left eight people dead on Tuesday night, including six Asian women.

Six of the dead were Asian-American women.  Officers said the suspect's parents helped identify him and they used his cell phone to help track his mobile phone.
