Watch to learn more about America's biggest recruiting event on September 15th

What Amazon is calling 'America's biggest recruiting event' is happening across the country today.

Starting at noon, the company says it will be hiring for more than 40,000 corporate and tech positions at its more than 200 U.S. locations. It has several facilities in metro Atlanta.

Participants register for Career Day 2021 online.

Organizer Jordan Deagle tells Audacy Atlanta's Maria Boynton there will also be some 12,000 recruiters on hand conducting 20,000 free, 1-on-1 career-coaching sessions with job seekers in one day.

For current Amazon employees, Deagle says there will be sessions to help them grow in their careers.

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said in a statement, “We’re working hard every day to be the best place for people to have satisfying and fulfilling long-term careers.” Jassy adds, "Amazon continues to grow quickly and relentlessly invent across many areas, and we’re hoping that Career Day gives both job seekers and current Amazon employees the support they need to learn new skills or reimagine their careers at Amazon or elsewhere.”
