Recently on "Good Vibes" with Host Dj. Ms. Eclectic, founder of Crowned Skin and King's Crowning Darrell Spencer joined the program to discuss his journey from corporate America to building two thriving brands. At just 28 years old, Spencer has already made his mark as a serial entrepreneur and real estate investor, known for his innovative approach to both the beauty and fashion industries.

Mr. Spencer began his entrepreneurial path in 2020 when he launched his first brand, King's Crowning, a line of haircare products designed specifically for men. The idea stemmed from his own need for a product that could protect his hair while still appearing masculine. After finding a gap in the market for men's haircare, he created a solution that would resonate with others—bringing satin-lined headwear and protective products to the forefront.

Mr. Spencer's career before entrepreneurship involved working at some of the biggest names in tech—Google, Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn—where he managed digital advertising campaigns that helped large corporations make significant profits. However, despite his success in the corporate world, Mr. Spencer felt his skills and talents could be better used in building something for himself, leading him to take the leap into entrepreneurship.

While Mr. Spencer initially started his business as a side hustle, he eventually left his high-paying corporate job to focus full-time on King's Crowning. However, the transition wasn't without its challenges. He stressed the importance of having a solid foundation, both in terms of financial stability and time management, before making the leap. This approach allowed him to feel confident in scaling his brand and, later, launching his second venture, Crown Skin.

Crown Skin, Mr. Spencer's newest brand, has been a viral sensation, particularly for its body butter products designed for men. The unique blend of organic ingredients, combined with fragrance and pheromone molecules, has created an unexpected niche in the skincare market. With fragrances that act like colognes, Mr. Spencer said the product offers both moisturizing and aromatic benefits. This brand's success has taken off, with sales surpassing expectations and making waves on social media.

In discussing how to maintain momentum and customer loyalty, Mr. Spencer highlighted the importance of focusing on both new customers and repeat buyers. He emphasized that offering a great product alone is not enough; businesses must create an ongoing relationship with their customers, through methods like loyalty programs or subscription models, to ensure growth and sustainability.

When asked about creating a "good vibe," Mr. Spencer explained that it all comes down to listening to customer feedback and understanding their needs. His approach to business is not just about quick success, but about laying the groundwork for lasting impact and sustainability.
