Recently on "Good Vibes", Host DJ. Ms. Eclectic was joined by the founder of R&R Skincare Valerie Obaze to discuss her journey as an entrepreneur and her brand's mission to provide natural skincare solutions while supporting communities in West Africa.

Ms. Obaze, who recently traveled from Miami, shared insights into the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship. She emphasized the importance of understanding the reasons behind starting a business, stating that a strong sense of purpose can help navigate the inevitable rough patches.

R&R Skincare, which Ms. Obaze founded, features products that are rooted in African traditions and are produced using local ingredients sourced from Ghana. Ms. Obaze's initial inspiration for the brand stemmed from her search for natural skincare products for her newborn child that were indigenous to Africa. After realizing the products she needed weren't available, she created them herself, starting a business that now empowers women in West Africa by providing them with fair labor opportunities.

During the interview, Ms. Obaze discussed the benefits of keeping skincare routines simple and using natural ingredients that have been used for centuries. She also spoke about the growing recognition of African fashion and beauty brands, noting that more consumers are seeking quality products that highlight African craftsmanship.

Ms. Obaze's skincare line has garnered attention for its focus on sustainability and local empowerment. She highlighted how purchasing R&R Skincare products directly supports women in Ghana who harvest ingredients like shea butter. Her brand offers an opportunity for consumers to engage with high-quality, eco-conscious beauty products while helping to uplift communities in Africa.
