Former DOJ Agent Discusses Disproportionate Targeting of Blacks within the Agency

On Point with Juandolyn Stokes welcomed Dr. Matthew Fogg, Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal (Ret.), and author of upcoming book, "Bigots with Badges" named after a 1997 New York Post cover story which spotlighted the overt racism inside the U.S. Marshal's office.

According to Fogg, there is an epidemic of systemic racism and discrimination against Black agents in the U.S. Marshal's office.

"Blacks are disproportionately targeted if they start to be successful" [within the agency].

Fogg began with the Department of Justice (DOJ) in 1978 and has been leading the charge in a class action lawsuit against the DOJ for 30 years!

Fogg says he noticed the disparities early in his career-how Blacks were being treated and not being promoted because it was a system clearly designed for white people. Later he was moved to investigate Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaints, which gave him an even clearer view of exactly how poorly Blacks were treated.

"We have to fight this and expose this. It has to be a joint effort, a collaborative effort to fight racism," said Fogg.

Fogg is seeking Whistleblower protection from [President] Biden in an executive order. The systems are very racist, and the ones who are running the systems are targeting them.

He says a lot of Black officers see what is happening, but they are not inclined to report it for fear of reprisals.

Fogg's credibility lies in his repeated appearances on legitimate news stations like CNN and for his expert opinion. He also has his own YouTube Channel highlighting countless speaking engagements in which he has continuously sounded off about inner workings of the DOJ.

Fogg was not shy about spilling the family secrets in describing what he witnessed within the United States largest law enforcement agency, the DOJ was a Mob on the Job, Organized Crime Personified atmosphere.
