Georgia elections officials finally released the results of the hand recounts Thursday night, which reaffirmed that President-elect Joe Biden won Georgia in November's presidential election.
According to the Risk Limiting Audit, a recount of the ballots didn't change the election outcome. The audit shows Joe Biden beating President Trump by over 12-thousand votes.
Georgia law requires the state to conduct an audit following the November elections to ensure precise and reliable results. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger selected the audit's presidential race, meeting the confidence threshold required by law.
On Friday, the election results are expected to be certified by the secretary of state.
