March is Women’s History Month, as such, Bank of America (BOA) is observing March 8, Women’s History Day with a first of its kinds women’s marketplace online hub for consumers to find women-owned businesses by shopping and supporting them. This project is being launched by BOA and Seneca Women.

According to Pam Seagle, Global Women’s Program Executive with BOA and guest on, On Point with Juandolyn Stokes, “60% of women report they have to work harder than men for the same level of success as men, accessing capital is harder, and women do not know how to network or train.”

She added, BOA has programs like the women’s marketplace and the BOA Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Cornell University, which is a free 12-week program in which women are wait-listed to join their 100,000-seat capacity event.

Creating opportunities for better access to capital, training, mentorship, and other opportunities is the key to helping women succeed as business owners.
