In celebration of National Women's history month, Xernona Clayton, a legendary figure in the civil rights movement, appeared on the Rashad Richey Morning Show this morning to discuss some hot-button issues. Xernona Clayton was honored with her own statue during this year's International Women's Month in recognition of all the excellent deeds she has accomplished throughout her life. Several political figures, civil rights pioneers, and most importantly her constituents recognize and admire her. This statue was erected in her honor, and Dr. Rashad Richey had the joy of speaking with her on the "Rashad Richey Morning Show" on Thursday morning to learn more about this beautiful person.

When Ms. Xernona Clayton said, "I constantly get up and ask myself, what will I do today to make me worthy of having this day," it provided a greater understanding of the principles that this legendary leader upholds. Rashad started by inquiring about Ms. Xernona's emphasis on uplifting others, "Where does this originate from? Ms. Xernona Clayton continued by saying how grateful she is every day and how happy she is to simply be here and know who she is.
