Renters and landlords in DeKalb County affected financially by the pandemic can apply for relief beginning tomorrow, Friday, Feb 12.
According to DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond, they will use $21 million dollars in grant money to prevent evictions during the pandemic.
Thurmond talked with Radio.com's Maria Boynton about the program which he anticipates will help at least 10,000 families initially.
The funds, according to Thurmond, can also be used to pay for basic utilities, such as water, gas, and electricity.
Renters and landlords can visit the website beginning at 9am Friday to apply online.
