Xeron Pledger, the CEO of Atlanta's non-profit youth program Delivering Change, teamed up with Sunshine/Sunrise McDonald's co-owners, Andre Smith and Danesha Smith, to discuss their community initiatives on The Rashad Richey Morning Show.
"What is the McNificent Men program?" is a question that refers to a program instituted by Morehouse College in partnership with McDonald's. The program offers an immersive internship of eight weeks to graduating communication majors from Morehouse College. It focuses on honing both soft and hard skills, giving participants the opportunity to develop and excel in real-world situations. The name of the initiative itself, "McNificent," combines the "M" of Morehouse College with the "Mc" of McDonald's, and a testament to the level of excellence that the program aims to achieve.
The Girls and Golf project partners with the Historic Golf Course in College Park to promote the game of golf for young ladies. Through this project, the girls will participate in a unique three-round tournament in Atlanta and Orlando (Disney) with specific dates allocated for the second and final rounds. Being a student of leadership, Dr. Richey completed studies in Executive Leadership at Cornell University and was accepted into a specialty executive law program at Harvard University in International Finance: Policy, Regulation, and Transactions. Understanding the connectivity of culture and science, Dr. Richey earned his Master of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Pacific, where his master’s thesis researched cognitive functionalities of brain entrainment. As an executive leader, Dr. Richey says it’s imperative to combine business practices with compassionate leadership principles, which was a primary focus when completing his Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Beulah Heights University. Dr. Richey also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Humanitarian Studies from the University of Renaissance and a Doctor of Law in International Law (ABD) from the research institution, Azteca University.
He is currently in the final leg of completing his Juris Doctor (Law Degree) from Birmingham Law School and dually enrolled in a PhD in Quantum Physics program, which is a collaborative between the Clark Atlanta University physics department and the School of Life Information Science & Engineering at Asia Pacific School of Business.
