Kristin Dixon, the Program Director, and Lorraine Austin, the Program Manager of The Fulton County Board of Health's SKYE Program, made a special appearance on Voices in the Streets Unfiltered, hosted by DesiiTee and Xavier Brandon on 1380 WAOK. The duo shed light on the significance of the SKYE Program, which aims to provide evidence-based sex education to young teens while assisting in preventing unwanted pregnancies. The program goes beyond sex education and incorporates essential life skills such as financial literacy, goal setting, and leadership, benefiting both students and parents alike. The SKYE Program warmly welcomes all Fulton County residents as a valuable supplement to the existing sex education curriculum in schools.
During the interview, Kristin and Lorraine enthusiastically discussed their upcoming event, featuring a double screening of their powerful short film, "Plan A." This thought-provoking film empowers teen girls to make informed decisions about their sexual health. Following "Plan A," attendees will enjoy the movie "Little," starring Regina Hall and Marsai Martin. The event is scheduled for July 29th at 11:30 am at Regal Atlantic Station.
Excitingly, all young ladies attending will receive a $25 H&M Gift Card, complimentary concessions, and more!
