Juandolyn Stokes, Host of On Point with Juandolyn Stokes on Audacy Atlanta News & Talk WAOK celebrated her birthday in true community spirit with a heartwarming Back 2 School Beauty & Makeover Community Giveback at Allen Temple AME Church—a powerful event that brought smiles, support, and style to over 1,000 attendees.
The event, sponsored by Nicole’s House of Hope and presented in partnership with Atlanta International Fashion Week, was a one-stop experience for families preparing for the new school year. From free haircuts and hairstyles, backpacks and school supplies, to clothing, wellness products, and hot meals—the event was filled with love, laughter, and a sense of community uplift.
Special thanks to Comcast and Suzanne Forte, Public Relations Director for Comcast Central Division, and her incredible team for their generous donation of backpacks and school supplies. Their support helped set hundreds of children on the path to a confident and successful school year. The joy on the faces of both kids and parents was truly unforgettable — a powerful reminder of what community collaboration can achieve.
The day featured performances by TM Dance and Cheer, whose energy lit up the event. Juandolyn took to the mic to interview members of the community, including Coach Jasmine from TM Dance and Cheer and longtime community leader Archie Calloway, one of the event’s influential organizers and State Representative Derrick Jackson showing his invaluable support.
The event was made possible by a strong team of leaders including Yolanda Jackson, Executive Director of Nicole’s House of Hope, and Paula Whittle, Founder of Atlanta International Fashion Week. Juandolyn’s coordination was led by Shantelle “DJ Ms. Eclectic”, Executive Producer of On Point with Juandolyn Stokes, whose behind-the-scenes work helped bring the the Birthday celebration to life. Everyone came together to celebrate service, style, and scholarship.
As families left with full hands and hopeful hearts, one message was clear: this was more than a birthday celebration—it was a demonstration of love in action.
