The free event drew a diverse crowd that filled the intimate venue and spilled into standing-room corners. Personal trainer Ron Jones guided participants through shadowboxing and squats, while Dr. Shelia Payton of WellSpring Health & Wellness broke down “Menopause & Muscles,” sharing hormone-friendly strength tips and nutrition strategies that prompted immediate questions and note-taking.

Ms. Stokes kicked off the morning with an on-air fitness segment, led by Mr. Jones.

Ms. Stokes kept the pace lively, weaving in updates on national headlines—rising oil prices and the looming SNAP benefits cutoff, while steering the focus back to practical self-care.
Midway through, a listener approached producer DJ Ms. Eclectic with a vibrant bouquet of roses and lilies, honoring their recent Rice Award for radio production and the program’s Gabby Award win for talk excellence.
