On Point with Juandolyn Stokes sat down with Judge Phinia Aten (Chief Judge of Magistrate Court in Rockdale County) to talk about what it means to be a black judge, steps on how to become a judge, lessons she learned on the way, and how the journey can be for her. Judge Aten also discuss her community, mentorship, art program in Rockdale County and using her art to help inspire young people. Later on in the program, Juandolyn spoke to Judge Aten about speaking to kids in the community and the consequences of young teens being tired as an adult in the legal system.
