U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley says that she has already completed her Vision Board for 2021 and she's ready for it.
In an exclusive interview with Radio.com's Maria Boynton, Pressley said she's "excited that 2021 will be a more promising year, and we've turned the page
on this dark chapter in our history." According to Pressley,
Part of the process, according to Pressley, is helping to get Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff elected in the January 5 runoffs in Georgia. "I want to finish the job", she says,"and help Georgia change the course of the country." If Warnock and Ossoff defeat incumbent Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, Democrats would then control that chamber of Congress. They currently hold a majority in the House of Representatives.
When she was elected in 2018, Pressley became the first person of color to serve in Congress representing Massachusetts.
January 17 will mark a year since Pressley divulged that she had gone totally bald because of alopecia. She told Boynton in the interview why she went public with her story and about coping with the loss.
