Recently on The WAOK Morning Show, special guest host Dr. Dee Dawkins-Haigler spoke with President and Director of Ground Game Innovations, Keith Grandberry about the importance of voter engagement in the upcoming election, noted to be one of the closest in recent history.
Mr. Grandberry, who began his political journey during the Howard Dean campaign in South Carolina in 2003, has dedicated his career to voter registration and mobilization. Today, he leads Ground Game Innovations, a grassroots organization focused on increasing political participation and ensuring that all voices are heard.
The conversation highlighted the critical role the Black community will play in the upcoming election. Mr. Grandberry emphasized the need for sustained momentum in early voting, particularly following record-breaking turnout in Georgia. He urged listeners to not only vote themselves but also to encourage friends and family to participate, reinforcing the idea that community involvement is essential for driving change.
Mr. Grandberry shared insights on polling data, revealing tight margins in key swing states like North Carolina and Michigan. This underlines the significance of strategic outreach efforts. Ground Game Innovations is active in several pivotal regions, including Georgia and Pennsylvania, employing a multifaceted approach that includes door-to-door canvassing and collaborations with local organizations.
Additionally, Mr. Grandberry hosts a political talk show where he engages in discussions about local and national issues. As the only Black voice on the program, he aims to bring diverse perspectives to the conversation.
