Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens issues a statement following the mass shooting at a south Texas elementary school Tuesday. Dickens tweets "Precious lives are lost. My heart aches for the families of those lost and the community that is mourning right now. Our nation must do better. Hold your children close tonight. In the face of evil, love will win."

Authorities say 19 children and 2 adults were killed in the shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas. The 18 year old gunman, who was killed by police, also shot his grandmother prior to the school shooting. Texas officials say she was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition.
